A Toyota mechanic in the U.S. died on Saturday after suffering a heart attack while working on a new Toyota Tacoma vehicle, the company said.
The cause of death is unknown, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
A spokeswoman for Toyota said the mechanic, who was from the Houston area, had worked on more than 1,000 vehicles at the company’s Houston, Texas plant.
The mechanic died Saturday at a hospital in Katy, Texas, the spokeswoman said.
Toyota said it has offered its deepest condolences to the family and friends of the mechanic.
