The next time you see the emoji symbol, it should say, “Au revoir, jamais.”
The key to fixing the emoji Keyboard issue is using the correct font for the symbol, the New York Times reports.
The New York Post says that, because the font has an odd shape, the symbol should have been drawn with an even width.
But the Times says that’s not what’s going on.
“The emoji font is actually being drawn with the same shape that is used for emoji characters on Microsoft’s Windows and Mac computers,” the newspaper says.
“The font is being drawn at a very narrow width, which means that the symbol can be read with an eye, a mouth, or even a nose.”
So, what can you do?
You can’t use the emoji key.
It’s too much work to change the font, the Times points out.
So, you can use the symbol on your phone and use the keyboard, but you should probably switch to using emoji on your computer.
